Holi is the festival of colours and is famous among people of India for its interesting rituals, which include playing and throwing a splash of colours over each other, meeting friends and family and enjoying a feast of delicious delicacies. Holi marks the arrival of spring after winter. It signifies the victory of good over evil and is celebrated as a day of spreading happiness and love.
On March 7, 2023, Holi was celebrated at Darshan Academy, Rathonda, with a special assembly. The students were introduced to the significance of the festival and the story behind the celebration. Emphasising safety, they were asked to play safe Holi using natural colours instead of chemicals. The students reflected upon the water wastage during the Holi celebration and pledged to play dry Holi instead. The assembly ended with a Holi song recited by Mrs. Archana, the school coordinator. A happy ambiance was added to the festive spirit by making attractive rangoli. It was a joyful celebration of Holi at school, with everyone greeting each other with Holi wishes at the end of the day.
