Teachers can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill a love for learning. Darshan Academy, Rathonda, celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 5, 2020, with great fervor and exuberance to honor the profession’s hard work and determination. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portrait, offering a floral tribute to the great educationist and former President of India, Dr. Radharkrishan. The program was led first by prayer, followed by a peek into Dr. Radharkrishan’s life and why Teacher’s Day is celebrated in India. The little students surprised their teachers by performing scintillating acts like dances, songs, rhymes, a musical poem, Shayari, etc., to denote their love, respect, acknowledgment and gratitude.
As a token of love and appreciation for the tiny performers, the teachers arranged for fun-filled activities and games that made the day a memorable one. The teachers and the students sang songs and played together, creating memories to cherish forever. Students arranged a few games for the teachers, like musical chairs, balance dance, break the handi game, etc. Dr. Arindam Mohanta, Principal, Darshan Academy, Rathonda, delivered a speech on the role of teachers in shaping the world. Teachers were given a token of love by the school principal and manager.
