The philosophy of Gandhi Ji and Shashtri Ji was revived on October 2nd, 2022, when Darshan Academy, Rathonda, celebrated Mahatma Gandhi’s and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s birth anniversary with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Grades III to VI presented the assembly on nonviolence, depicting the great men’s lives. Students sang songs based on the truth and nonviolence message of Bapu Ji. Students and teachers also recited poems and bhajans and presented their thoughts on the Gandhian philosophy. They celebrated this event by dressing up as Gandhi Ji and Shastri Ji. A general knowledge quiz and poster and card-making activities were conducted as well. Graceful dances also marked the celebration. The students showed through their speeches how Gandhi Ji’s teaching is still relevant in our lives. Dr. Arindam Mohanta gave a brief lesson on their lives, and the assembly ended with the national anthem.
